Uncontested Divorce: The Simpler Option
Divorce is a common event in 21st-century life. With around half of all marriages ending in separation or divorce, many couples find that they do not need the complex legal finagling associated with divorce. If you and your spouse agree on major issues, such as property division, you may be interested in an uncontested divorce.
As a divorce attorney with more than 20 years of experience, I am here to help you understand uncontested divorce. At the Pensacola office of JerriLynn Hadley PLLC, I take pride in helping clients end their marriages with as little stress and expense as possible.
Is Uncontested Divorce Right For Me?
Not every couple in Florida qualifies for an uncontested divorce. It may be right for you and your spouse if neither of you contests issues, such as asset distribution, child time sharing or alimony. If you can reach an agreement on these issues, you need not go through a traditional divorce trial. Instead, you can use a marital settlement agreement to dissolve your marriage. Typically, the court will finalize your divorce within 30 days or so of your filing.
Compassionate Advocacy During Divorce Of Any Kind
Though the process seems simple, it is still important to have an attorney who can answer your questions, ensure that you complete the forms right and resolve any challenges that arise. After going through a divorce myself, I provide empathy and compassion combined with my more than two decades of experience. When you work with me, you work with someone who understands your situation.
